		<description>Mrs M,

Thanks for your reply. I tried to use them as fire lighters... DOH!
However, I soon learnt that laying them on the paper is good.... BUT, adding them to the embers and seeing (and sometimes hearing) them flare up is by far the best as you get that thrill of the smell but also free flames.

The perfect flame to go with a glass of crisp white on a Sunday evening.

<description>Dear Broad Bean - read the article again! A bacon butty every now and again is a wonderful thing but too many too often is a bad thing. We are delighted the blog reminds you of happy times - keep reading, we always try to make people happy.
Thank you for your support Mr Broad Bean.

<description>Dear PB Did you treat the fruit skins like kindling wood or ZIP Firelighters?
Lay the fire in the traditional way with newspaper, kindling or orange peel and then logs. Light the paper and the oranges should light and act as kindling wood but with a good smell!
Hope this helps PB - well done you for trying. You can also fill baskets with the peel rather like pot pourri

<description>An update on the Aga dried lemon and orange skins... I think I did something wrong for they simply would not light when I tried them. Though they burnt very well on the fire once it was going!!</description>
